Hepatitis Treatment Options

This is a one hour course focused on basic hepatitis C risk factors, treatment monitoring, and  information on new Hepatitis C medicines. 

At the conclusion of this course, you should be able to:

  1. List the 6 risk factors for HCV
  2. Describe the 3 tests for HCV
  3. List the steps of a clinical assessment of HCV
  4. Apply the principles of monitoring and consideration of treatment
  5. Explain the difference between absolute and relative contraindications
  6. List the 7 patient criteria needed for HCV
  7. Describe the different treatment regimens for HCV genotypes 1, 2, & 3.
  8. Describe the different treatment regimes for two protease inhibitors, Incivik and Boceprovir
